Step-by-step process to Web site design
At AMA Interactive, we have developed an orderly procedure by
which we plan, design, and produce a business Web site.
Step 1: Online RFQ Form and preliminary estimate
We review your information from our online RFQ
Form and then email you an initial estimate with a price
range. This may be followed by a telephone consultation. The
consultation will be used as an exchange of information, to answer
any questions you may have and help you decide if you want to
move on to the next step. It is free and without any obligation.
Step 2: Preparation of a detailed proposal
If, after the initial estimate and consultation, you decide to
go forward, AMA Interactive will spend more time gathering information
by email, phone, or in face-to-face meetings. We will then write
a detailed written set of specifications for your Web site with
scope of services, an estimated total cost and a time line to complete
your project.
Step 3: Signing of Agreement
AMA Interactive will email or fax you an Agreement, written without
legalese for you to sign and send back to us.
Step 4: Content gathering
Text and graphic content must be gathered before most work can
begin on the site. We will assist you in pulling together the text,
logo, graphics, and photographs needed for the site, but it's important
to be aware that a Web site project does require work on your part.
Step 5: Database building and Web programming
While you are gathering the content, AMA Interactive creates any
databases needed, as well as the code for all dynamic pages. These
applications are tested thoroughly
Step 6: Site mock-up
Next, we begin working on a site mock-up consisting of the Main
Page (Home) and 2-3 inside pages. The mock-up is based on the needs
and preferences you have provided us via our online Web design
worksheet. It is then uploaded to a private location on our server
where you can view it “live”. You will be able to test
and review the navigation scheme, layout and the overall look of
your site.
Step 7: Building and coding of actual pages
The approved page design is now used as a template(s). Text and
graphic content is “plugged in” and adjusted for a
perfect layout. Dynamic page code is added to page templates.
Step 8: Final site testing
The site is thoroughly tested. You’ll have another chance
to review it for any minor changes or corrections. We will test
the pages on numerous browsers, on different platforms, and at
different browser window sizes and resolution settings, correcting
any remaining errors.
Step 9: Site launch
Final payment of balance is due and payable prior to launch. The
site is then uploaded to your server and is considered live.
We allow five business days after the launch for you to review
the site and test functionality. Any errors or functionality problems
brought to our notice and considered to be our fault, will be fixed
at no cost. After this period, a maintenance contract can be negotiated.
Step 10: Are we done now?
No! Now is the time to actively promote your site and submit it
to search engines. Click here for
affordable solutions to Web site promotion. We would be happy to
handle your ongoing maintenance too.
We wish you the best of luck
and continued success with your new business Web site. All of
us at AMA Interactive appreciate the opportunity to have worked
with you and the trust you placed in us on such an important project.
Thank you.
Payment terms
A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of our proposal and the balance
due prior to taking the site live.
Please note that we cannot
begin work before receiving the initial deposit. Sorry, there
are no exceptions. Payments can be made using our secured server
environment or by a company check if you are in Houston.
